conference day logistics
All speakers, sponsors, and conference attendees should check the agenda for check in location. You may choose to check in on Friday evening or Saturday morning. See times on the Agenda. You are not required to print a copy of your EventBrite ticket. Student ticket holders must bring student ID.
If you purchased a ticket from someone who can no longer attend, you must notify us in advance to transfer the ticket.
Name badge must be worn at all times. Make sure you only wear your own name tag--we don't want to call you by the wrong name when networking.
The dress code is business casual. However, historically speaking, many attendees chose to dress to impress by wearing business formal or suits.
We have a diverse set of attendees, ranging from current students to HBS alumni to professionals, from company representatives to CEOs, and from early entrepreneurs to investors. There will be several opportunities for networking, so be sure to bring your business cards!
Rise and shine! There will be a continental breakfast, and coffee, available before the opening keynote on Saturday morning.
The Alumni Awards Lunch has limited capacity. Therefore, all who have purchased tickets and selected this lunch will be entered into a lottery process. You will be notified by email of the results.
Those who did not win the lottery will have the opportunity to sign up for the Networking Lunch. attendees will be able to select to network with an industry, company representative, or entrepreneur. The meals will be consistent across the Alumni Awards and Networking lunches.
Each session will begin and end on time, and will have time allotted for open Q&A. Name badges are required for each session, including keynotes, panels, breakfast, lunches, and receptions.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
Logan Airport is located in Boston and is used by all major carriers. The Harvard Business School campus can be reached by taxi from the airport. It is a 25-35 minute ride. There is also a shuttle bus from the airport, which connects to public transportation, although this requires multiple transfers and 1 hour of travel time. Harvard Square is the closest subway station to campus and is located on the RED LINE of the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority).
Amtrak trains arrive and depart from South Station in downtown Boston. The campus is accessible from here either by public transportation (Red Line) or by taxi.
Coming by MBTA, take the Red Line to Harvard Square. Walk south on John F. Kennedy Street, (John F. Kennedy Street runs from the center of Harvard Square) crossing over the Charles River on the Anderson Bridge. The Harvard Business School is on the left, after the bridge. Take the first street leading into the campus. This is approximately a 10-minute walk.
From downtown Boston, follow Storrow Drive west, which becomes Soldiers Field Road near the Business School. Take the exit marked Harvard Square. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto North Harvard Street and enter Harvard Business School on Gordon Road, the third street on your left (the first two streets on the left are for foot traffic and emergency vehicles only). Parking is available in the lot at the end of this road.
From the west via the Massachusetts Turnpike, take exit #18 for Allston and Cambridge. After the tollbooth, bear right towards Cambridge, to a large intersection. Just past the second light, and before the bridge, turn left onto Soldiers Field Road. At the first stoplight, turn left onto Western Avenue, and enter the School through the South Entrance, on your right.
There is visitor parking available in the campus parking lot located behind Spangler for $8. The entrance is off of Western Avenue via the Batten Way entrance. Stop at the guard booth and inform the guard that you are attending the AASU H. Naylor Fitzhugh Conference.
