Entrepreneurial Ventures Competition
We are proud to announce the return of our Entrepreneurial Ventures Competition!
We are seeking quality business plans from students and entrepreneurs and would appreciate your help in spreading the word. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to fund their business idea, as there is a cash prize, as well as great exposure to the venture capital community and other entrepreneurs.
Details of the competition are listed below. Please note the deadline to submit statements of interest and executive summaries is Monday, February 13, 2012 at 5pm.
How to Enter
- Submit a Statement of Interest and Executive Summary by February 13, 2012 at 5pm to AASUbizplan@gmail.com.
- Executive Summaries should be no more than 5 slides long and focus on the following items: Product or service offering, Target Market, Financial Projections (macro and unit-level), Management Team, and Funding Requirements.
Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria
- Competition is open to new and early stage (0-2 years in operation) businesses and social enterprise organizations across industries.
- Eligible teams must have at least one member of an underrepresented minority group (African, Latino, or Native American descent).
- Plans will be evaluated on: viability of concept, value creation potential, analysis of market and competition, presentation and management team.

- February 16, 2012 - Notification of Semi-Finalists
- February 27, 2011 - Full Business Plans of Semi-Finalists Due
- March 2, 2012 - Notification of Finalists
- March 24, 2012 - Finalist Presentations and Selection of Winners
